Mr. Ice Cream
Mr. Ice Cream Truck
He always comes when it's warm outside
From early morning until late at night
A reminder of good times
Of childhood
Mr. Ice Cream Man is a very nice man
He gives the children Ice Cream
It's his job, sure
But it's still nice
The kids really like him
Mr. Ice Cream Man is their summer friend
He always asks the kids what their favorite flavor is
Chocolate
Strawberry
Dulce de leche
Coconut
He always says his favorite is vanilla
That it's a safe flavor you can make anything from
He also likes the silly ice pops
The ones that look like characters
They always look funny, with their candy eyes dripping off
They still taste good
He spends time talking to parents too, getting to know them
Getting to know their favorite flavors
Chocolate
Coffee
Mango
Green Tea
His favorite is still vanilla
The safe flavor
The flavor you can make anything else with
Sometimes, Mr. Ice Cream Man is a different man
Sometimes, he's a little mean
But most of the time, he's very nice
Sometimes, Mr. Ice Cream Man comes late at night
Really late at night
When the moon is high in the sky
Just for the parents
They get special ice cream
But sometimes, Mr. Ice Cream Man isn't just a summer friend
Sometimes, he comes in spring and fall
The kids love it when he comes in spring and fall
It's nice to have an after-school treat
Especially after a bad day or a hard test
But now, Mr. Ice Cream Man is out every day
Even in winter
All the time
He and his friends’ trucks are always going around
Playing the Mr. Ice Cream Truck music that the kids love
They stop at places for a really long time now
Seemingly waiting in front of specific houses
It makes parents anxious
He shouldn't be out in winter
But he's always selling ice cream
But his flavors are limited
Only vanilla
He says it's the best flavor
The superior flavor
Everyone should love vanilla
Everyone should be vanilla
Just like him and his friends
Vanilla
Mr. Ice Cream Man is getting meaner
He gets mad when anyone wants anything that isn't vanilla
No Chocolate
No Green Tea
No Mango
No Dulce de leche
Just
Vanilla
Kids don't want ice cream when they can only have vanilla
They don't want any when Mr. Ice Cream Man is mean
So they stop going to get ice cream
But Mr. Ice Cream Man doesn't like that
So he starts to come to their doors
Vanilla ice cream in hand
Knock knock knock
He shouldn't be doing that
Trying to get into their homes
Saying that should come out
Saying he has a warrant
It scares the parents and children
They don't come out
So Mr. Ice Cream Man comes in
He and his friends break down the doors
They break the windows
They toss in canisters of gas to get them out
They grab the kids
They tackle the parents
They yell at them to stop resisting
That they should've liked vanilla
That they should have been vanilla
They tie their hands with zip ties
Cover their heads with bags
The separate parents from children
They put them in the back of their ice cream trucks
And go to the next house
All because they didn't like vanilla
Because they weren't vanilla
Mr. Ice Cream Man is always out now
Him and his friends
He doesn't bring joy anymore
He brings pain and fear
He takes families away
He sends them to special Ice Cream Camps
They never come back home
Mr. Ice Cream still comes around Every single day, he drives around the block Taking away more children Taking away more parents
Mr. Ice Cream Man
Mr. Ice Cream
Mr. Ice
